Smiley Beetle

When I went to toilet, I saw a beetle near the basin and it is attracted me by its smiley face on its back. I never saw a beetle is like that. Even it is very ugly and super tiny but it is with a smiley face on the back. This is the first time I saw this kind of beetle. I didn't know its name and species. Therefor I named it as smiley beetle.

" I am ugly but my smile is so sweet. I smile with my heart. " This is the sentence I gave to my smiley beetle. The smile is looked like a heart shape.

When I took photos for it, my Maay housemate saw my action and felt I am weird. She asked me and I silent a while. She suddenly replied me "untuk saja saja ke?". Then I just said yes. Sometime is really difficult to make others understand ourselves when the point of views and interests are difference. But I won't bother because I like it. I never saw it before, so 100% for sure i will take photos for it and share with all my friends.

1 of the super moon that I took, I felt like has a tale story character is hiding behind the moon but I an't remember his name before slept. When morning woke up, I remember the character name is PeterPan. It is just my imagination only.

This is sky before raining. These few days is raining days.

The plain yellow color ladybird is I picked up on the toilet floor. It is looked cute. I love ladybirds so much.

Super Moon

On 19th March 2011 will have super moon. However from 7pm++ already started to rain until almost 11pm. The sky is cloudy and the chance to see it is lower. Then I online to search for the time that can see the super moon. It is at 2.10am (20/3/2011). Therefore I decided to wait for it since seeing super moon is a rare opportunity. I keep on when out to see the sky from 12am - 2.13am. But I still can't see the moon and the sky already looked bright at 1pm ++ with some blinking stars. Suddenly I received my friend sms said the moon is come out already so I told her I can't see it. Maybe the moon is on top of my building. The moon is really on top of my building so I decided to see it at car park. When I passby a place for hanging clothes. I saw the super bright moon from the sky. Then I just stopped at there and see.

These are the super moon photos. You can see that the moon can shine until the surrounding clouds become brighten and there has a orange-red color ring surrounded it. It is so pretty and bright. This is the brightest moon I have ever see but I felt the size like usual.

Around 4am++, when I switch off the light. I can see the light from moon is shining into my room. I was sleeping with my super moon light.

This morning I was going to the health carnival and then I went to library. I was so enjoying in library I browse through many photography books. Then I was carrying a book related to photoshop happily and going to borrow at downstair in the library. I found out the kiosk system is out of services and the counter will open at 2.45pm. I was waiting around 40min in order to borrow that book. It is really wasting my time.

After that I went to see dentist. It is because during the dental check up at the health carnival the dentist required me to visit the nearby dental clinic. In the clinic the dentist helped me to check and wash the teeth. But she like washed too fast and she said my teeth all are fine. I just have two teeth need to fill. 1 is at behind and 1 is in front. Therefore, next monday 9.10am I have to fill the 2 teeth. Hopefully I can wake up early so I can go to take bus around 8am and arrive there early.

Sometime I really felt I am quite naughty. Yesterday I cannot see the orange ladybirds because near the light and it is too high for me. Then my roomate is slept already so I not dare to take chair to see it. Today after came back from the clinic, I saw stil have 3 ladybirds near the light. I took my chair and climb up to see but still cannot reach it. So I went to take the broom and get 1 orange ladybird. I cannot found it on the broom because it already flied to the wall beside door. Since it is already at the distance that I can see it clearly, I already very happy and took photos for it.


I took photos for the grasshopper as well since I already took the chair near the door. I not sure whether it is a grasshopper. I think it should be from the same family.

Around 7.20pm, the sky become so dark and it is seem like to have a heavily rain. Just a while after I took the photos, it is already raining heavily with some lightnings.

After the heavily rain, the sky looked a bit brighter with some blue color.

Dark Brown and Red Ladybird

This red ladybird I saw it on the floor of toilet. There are many super tiny yellow and red ladybirds on the light outside my room. All ladybird are super tiny and I just can see their color only. I really wish to take the chair from my room and climb up to see. However my roomate already slept so I have to give up my plan.

This is another super tiny ladybird on the wall beside my room door. It is very special and it is the first time I saw this dark brown ladybird with light yellow spots. If you do not look on the wall carefully and u will miss it. It just like a dot on the wall.

I am very happy tonight because I saw many ladybirds. I wish I can have nearer distance with the yellow ladybird. So I can see it clearly.

Green Fly

Today morning weather is cloudy and seem like going to rain. When I woke up I still saw my roomate in room. Usually she will go to lab before 9am. Then I just woke up and went to toilet.

I saw a green color fly near the basin. I was as usual which is quickly went to my room and took camera to snap it before it fly away. Suddenly my roomate went to toilet and felt weird that why I took camera to toilet. I told her I took photos of the green color fly. Then she started talked to me and said she scared to go out because the weather and the radiation from Japan. In my heart I really want to told her no need to worry about it. Since she is elder than me then I just smile and said "Oh".

Yellow LadyBird

I am so happy tonight because I saw yellow ladybird. I love ladybird so much but yellow color is the 1st time I saw in my life. It is really special because normal ladybird is with dark spots. However this yellow ladybird has the lines like tortoise.

My lunch is meehoon + braised peanuts + cherry tomatoes. It is nice to see but not as delicious as the photo. Maybe meehoon is not suitable to mix with the braised peanuts. Next I must buy a suitable ingredient to match it. I think should be no more next time. I am not so free to do that. Hahaha =)



I suddenly felt bored when studied and took the little golden bear biscuits arrange on my laptop and took a photo before eating.

Today the sky is looked nice as well.

12/3/2011 (Sat)

I suddenly plan to go to Tesco after woke up. Around 11am I went to take bus and walk to Tesco from Sg Dua gate.


I bought all of my favorite foods like yogurt drink, cherry tomato, little golden bear biscuits, mushroom soup and so on. I bought a can of braised peanut as well. When I paid the money, the malay cashier like very scare and talked with another malay silently. But I know what are they talking and thinking. They scare the can is pork. Then I told them is peanut and please don't worry. But I think their reaction already better compared to before when I was in Carrefour with my aunt. When at Carrefour of Bukit Rimau, the cashier is run away from the counter. It is really funny because the cashier acted like seeing ghost.


On the way I walked back to hostel, I past by a car and saw inside the car has a little signboard which is so meaningful and attractive. It is written "Kiasi Inside, Kiasu Outside". The words Kiasi and Kiasu are the pronunciation from Hokkian. Kiasi is meant fear to death and Kiasu is meant fear to lose. The sentence is telling that the people in car is scared to death in accident which is caused by the outside speeding drivers that scared to lose and want to arrive the destination faster.

When I arranged the foods, I found that I took wrong favor of my little golden bear biscuits which is strawberry favor. I remember to check the expired date of every foods but I forgot about the favor of the biscuits.





Today the sky is looked beautiful. I have took some of the photos of the sky because I was attracted by the beautiful sky.

Back Penang (7/3/2011)

I felt like I am really missed my house and family. I don't want go back to Penang. :(

Today my mom coming late to fetch me to bus station. Luckily when I arrived the bus station, the driver still checking bus ticket.

This is the photos took from Sg Manik, Mambang Diawan and Simpang Pulai. If I still can remember the names of the places correctly. Hahaha!!!

This is around Kampar area. I was passing by the famous Restaurant Yau Kee (Roti Ayam).

Finally is Butterworth, Jetty and Penang Island.

Today the journey is quite tired from Teluk Intan to Butterworth to Jetty to Penang to hostel.

So I took car to bus station at TI, transnational bus to Butterworth, ferry to Penang Island, Rapid Penang to Bukit Gambir and USM RST bus to my hostel.

Arrived at around 7.45pm from 2pm noon journey. x_X

River Front Teluk Intan

River Front Teluk Intan actually is a big playground at there. It is next to river, therefore will have people fishing along the river.

Playground is my favorite play to visit. I don't know why I like playground so much. Today I am play to take some photos at there. However the weather is too hot so I can't stay at there too long.

I plan to go the field to take photo with my jersey and football as well. Since I am came out at the wrong time and the weather is so hot, so I have to give up the decision.

5/3/2011 (Sat)

Today is grandpa 80th birthday so I was taking bus going back to TI. Luckily today has a friend sent me to jetty, if not I am sure will late to Butterworth.

After arrived Butterworth still has 45min++. Therefore I was taking photos around the Penang Sentral. Then I was walking to the temporary hawkers complex and having my lunch. In the complex just has 3 chinese food stalls. I choose to eat Wantan Noodles. It is cheap (RM2.50) and big portion but not delicious. Hahaha...

After having my lunch, I was walking out from the complex. While I am passing by some a stall, I saw to old women. One of them is spoke to the malay hawker and said the sugar (1kg packet) is RM2.20 and canned sweet milk is RM2.20. I felt it is quite interesting because I never saw it before. The old woman is selling the sugar and milk to the hawkers in the complex. They are carrying the daily staffs in a plastic bag and selling. I think maybe nearby did not has market or shop for the hawkers to buy the stuff. When I was walking out the complex, I saw some old men and they are carrying the same thing as the old women and walking into the complex.

Almost 6pm I was arrived a place which has many paddy fields. Then I saw many pelicans in the paddy fields and nearby.

At night, we were celebrating my grandpa birthday at SeChuan Restaurant with some relatives.

Rove Beetle (Charlie)

Another name of rove beetle is Charlie. In USM, they will call it Charlie. Tonight I saw Charlie again. I am really scare it. It is so poisoning. My scar is just getting recovery then it appeared again. I felt my life is threatening. I just came to Penang to study and not going to sacrifice my life at here.

Today is my ex-secondary mate's coursemate birthday. Actually I was planning going out with them but I felt lazy. Somemore my left arm is poisoning by charlie (rove beetle) and has 2 big scars that looked symmetry.

At night, my ex-secondary mate's coursemates are delivered the birthday cakes to me and my roomate. I am really felt thanks to them.

Today is the last day of the Feb. I felt my wounds are not discovery and getting worst after applying the Candazole. Then I was going to USM clinic to see doctor again. From morning 9.30am++ waiting until 12pm++ then I was finished seeing the doctor. The time for seeing the doctor is few minutes but waiting is few hours.

The doctor said I was poisoning by the toxin from charlie which is an insect looked like ant but with orange color. I was not noticed for this before. Before when I saw that, I thought it was another special species of ant.

From today start then I know it is 12 times poisonous than cobra venom. This insect is really scarely. The real name of the charlie is rove beetle.

To Butterworth

26th Feb 2011
Today is the 1st time I am taking bus alone to jetty. When I was waiting bus at the bus stop outside hostel (Bukit Gambir), a Malay girl (USM student) was asking me whether the bus stop there will have bus going to jetty. I told her this is my first time took bus to jetty as well. Hahahah...

After a while, another malay girl (USM student as well) is coming and sitting beside me. So I was sitting in the middle of the two malay girls. Then I was asking the malay girl that just came for the rapid penang price jetty and where is she going. I found out she is going to jetty as well. I was so happy. Then I told the 1st malay girl that from the bus stop can go jetty and the bus ticket price is RM2.

When the bus is coming, I was sitting next to the 2nd malay girl. Then I will not be lost. It is quite long to jetty. I sat in bus around 30min already. After passing by Komtar and Prangin Mall, then next station is the jetty.

I was asking and following to the jetty. She is quite friendly and bring me walked to the jetty to take ferry. While waiting for the ferry, she asked me whether is 1st year student. I felt quite happy in heart because has people said me looked younger. Then I answered yes I was 1st year but is 1st year of master.

After few minutes, the ferry is coming. Then I was not walked and sat with her when in ferry after I asked her how long will arrive butterworth. I was taking photos of the scenery so I cannot sit quietly with her. For the place that I will have been for the 1st time, I will snap photos.

Before going down to the ferry, I said thanks to her and I walked myself followed the crowd. Firstly, I was going to buy bus ticket for going back my hometown on next Sat. After that I suddenly felt if I am just coming Butterworth and bought bus ticket and went back like wasted. Then I was taking the rapid Penang to Megamall Prai.

This is the 1st time I am going to Megamall Prai with directionless. Then I heard a woman said she want go down nearby Pacific (Megamall). So I choose to sit beside her. When the bus suddenly stop at a place and many people are going down. I felt it seems like already arrived but I can't see the building of Megamall yet. Then I asked the woman just and she said that is the stop for Megamall. So I quickly go down and walked follow the crowd. Finally I was going to the Megamall. But it is not as nicer as what am I imagine.

I already felt hungry when arrived Megamall but there seems like do not have any special foods to eat in the Megamall. Therefore, I decided to have McD for my lunch. After that I was walking around.

Around 4pm, I was walking to the place I stopped to take bus back to jetty again. Then I was took ferry back to Penang Island. Even it is not so special. But it is a meaningful day for me. I have explored the Butterworth myself for the 1st and I was enjoyed by taking ferry.

Red Color Insect

I saw the red color insect on the stair. I felt it looked like so attractive with the red and little black color. I never see this insect before. Therefore, I plan to snap it. If after I went back to take camera and it is still there then I will snap it. When I come out again, it is still there. I was so happy. Actually this insect is not big. It is just around 2cm length. However I did not whether it has posion or not. The reason is normally the insect that has sharp and nicer color sure will be poisonous.

Tonight I was going to Sg. Dua pasar malam with my friend. I was having nasi lemak in a restaurant around at the pasar malam area with my friend.

After that, we were walked around the pasar malam. I have bought 2 packets of soft candy. 1 packet is round shape with blackcurrant favor and another packet is star shape with many difference color. I told the aunty I want more purple color for the star shape. The aunty was very kind and picked most of the purple color star shape soft candy for me.

Bee...

Today is the first time i captured the bee so near... Don't know why today I am so dare to capture it. Actually I am quite scared it will bite me. Today is the 3rd times I saw bee in my hostel. It always like to come at night and go to the place that has light. I only always saw bees when stayed in UMS hostel. But now I saw it in USM hostel. But it is different as the species that I saw when stayed in UMS hostel. I was adding storylines to the bee's actions...

It looks at the mirror...

erm... should I look at the mirror??? I'm quite scared to look at myself...

ok la... I decided to try now...

Yeah... finally i dare to face myself in the mirror oredi... Awesome???

Fireworks...

Today I am xtremely happy because I saw many fireworks. Started from 9pm++ (10/2/11) until 2am++ (11/2/11) the fireworks are non stop. The fireworks are really amazed. Especially around 12am (11/2/11), I can see many fireworks from top of many buildings at the same time. This made me did not know want to see the fireworks from which view.

But after the burning fireworks and fire crackers, I can say that Penang air is totally polluted. Around 9pm++ I still can see the lights of Penang bridge and the lights from the oppposite of the Penang Island are very clearly but around 2am even the lights of the Penang bridges are become dimmed already.
